Kassandra Smith, Trustee

I am a newly elected Trustee and have been participating in classes at the SHC since retiring a couple of years ago.

I am a psychotherapist and have worked within the private, voluntary and statutory sectors throughout my professional life. I have in the past ten years been working globally with clinical teams. This has given me enormous experience of working multi-culturally both therapeutically and within recruitment. Having responsibility for setting in place policies and procedures which were clinically sound, as well as in line with the culture and laws of the applicable countries, as we developed throughout the world.

I look forward to working with the other trustees as we focus on continuing to develop and enhance the wonderful work of Open Age, in not just providing classes but in opening up geographically and emotionally, so that the users of the various centres continue to have the opportunity to grow in confidence and experience as they live out the next phase of their lives.
