Men's Health Event 24th November 2025
Open Age ran a Men’s Health Event with Violet Melchett Health and Wellbeing Centre which was a huge success! The centre was lively and busy throughout the afternoon, with a brilliant turnout from men across the community looking to prioritise their health and wellbeing.
Visitors had the chance to speak directly with local GPs, healthcare professionals, and community services and find out about Open Age activities and its centre in the south of RBKC —and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive! Many took advantage of the free blood pressure checks, AF screenings, and grip-strength tests, and were genuinely pleased to have these important health checks available in such a relaxed, friendly setting.
Our Tai Chi taster sessions were also very popular, with a great number of participants joining the two sessions for a moment of calm and movement. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to all partners involved for helping make this such a meaningful Movember event!
It was a lovely afternoon of connection, conversation, and community support.
