Phone Groups
Open Age runs two weekly phone group talks for those members who may be less able get out and about. The calls are free and the callers are part of a small, friendly group enjoying informative talks and discussions on a variety of topics facilitated by invited speakers from galleries, museums, various charities and organisations of interest. All sessions are facilitated by an Open Age staff member. We post handouts in advance in support of most sessions.
“Absolutely lovely talk. As I am largely confined to my home, I so enjoyed to hear about it all. Thank you so much”
"Aw, I have wet eyes, was so touched. It’s so hopeful to have our 96-year old with us and sounding so well. Thank you so much for the reminder or I would have missed it! So needed as have been home sick. Bravo to you and Open Age. Really, that took me out of myself"
“I really enjoyed the talk about a form of art I was not familiar with. Without this talk I would never have learned to appreciate it and its importance to reflect our society for future generations”
“The narrative was so good I thought I was there”
